Five years and sixteen races

Five years ago I walked(ran down a few of the hills) the austin half marathon and felt accomplished. At the time I was having issues due to my Parkinson and running was not an option. Shortly after that race I got a new Physical Therapist. Once he found out how fast I was walking, he decided that I should be running. At first I was not sure about running. Yes, I ran before but it had been four years and with my issue leg(aka the right leg). But I figured he was the PT and if he thought I should run, I would give it a try.  The training from walking to running was not to hard. I still did a lot of walking at first then some running. I entered more races and continued to work on more running. I found that I had less issue with the issue leg when I was running then walking. Running made it so I was lifting up the leg and you can't tell that it's was ever an issue. So I work on more running and less walking. At first it was a mile here a mile there. Then I just started to runnin
