Catching up

As I continue my house hunt it looks more and more like we will be staying put. So I am adding more garden beds.
Beside adding more beds I am planning out my fall garden. With all the new beds I have over doubled my growing space. And I will have deitacated space just for the farmers market. So this month will be very busy getting my fall crops in. Now fall crops in Austin
means, a short warm crop planting. I will get some cold crops in but not for a few month still.

I have a few more weekend of peach sales. Then a trip to see all the family. Before school starts back up and I head back to the library.

I recently pasted the one year mark of being a vegan and it has defentlly been for the better. Not only have I stayed off the medicaton for my stomach. I think that it has helping my skin problem and my glucose has gone back to normal.
Being the only vegan in the house can sometime be interesting. When your trying to decide on meals that everyone will eat. But I have found many meals that I can make that just have the meat or dairy on the side.
I have also saved money because I can just bypass big parts of the groceries stores. Plus I grow things that I like to eat and I can swap extras at the farmer market for other veggies that I don't grow.

So there is a little catching up.

Hammer vs. Hand

Only one post this week and it's going to be short and sweet. Last Saturday when I was out making garden boxes. I managed to hit my hand with a hammer. I did stop working and put ice on it and took some Advil. I did all the things that you would think to do for a hammered hand. But by Tuesday I was still having eye crossing pain, so I call the nurse to see what they recommend I do. She said I need to come and be seen. Off to the doctor I went. I didn't think that I had broke anything but I was wrong. I have a Scaphoid Fracture of the Wrist.

Work: Part One

In my last post I told you that a full time job had found me. I belong to a book club and we were having our get together. I was also buying a washer and dryer from some friends. I had planned on picking them up before book club. When I got to my friends to pick them up the where running a bit behind. By the time I had got the washer and dryer to my place I was running very late. I ended up being an hour an a half late for book club and I even called to make sure they were still there. I ended up sitting across from a women I think I meet before but hadn't talk too. This time we ended up talking and there were something that we had in common. At the end of the evening as we were all leaving she asked if any knew a library clerk looking for work. Well I raised my hand and everyone else pointed at me. We exchanged numbers and I heard from a few days late to interview. After waiting for the school district to caught up I got the call from HR. I was to start my full time job on the fir...
