It has been so long since my last post. So hold on!

I am still have issues with headaches but my ear has stopped hurting. We did find out that it was sinus related. They did give me meds for it, but I am trying to only using them as needed. Because when you add four more meds to my mix it bring my total to 15. I have moved to a vegan diet and managed to get off one of my meds.

I am getting ready to start training. Due to a lot of different factors. I was unable to do See Run Jane Austin (and it ended up being cancelled due to weather). So I have not been walking as much as I should be. Having access to a car a few days a week has inferred with my walking schedule too. But it's time to get back in gear. I have a 2 month 22 days still the Austin Marathon. I will only be doing the half marathon again this year. If I wasn't so lazy I would have already started to train.

It only has been the last month we have been getting some cold nights. So I still have some things coming out of the garden. But I have pulled most things out and have started to planting cold crops. I am also working on replacing my landscape plants that didn't make it thru the summer heat. I added five more trees to the front yard(thanks to Tree Folks). Repoted the kefir lime and moved it inside. Broadcasted seeds for spring flowers (if we get rain).

The library is going well. I am there twice a week. And you can tell the kids are getting use to me being there. If they can't find the librarian they will come to me to ask question. I even have a few that come straight to me now. I recently received a letter from the principal thanking me for my work. I think that the first time I ever got a good note from a principal.

Decluttering, packing and moving

My  decluttering adventure has been slowing but hasn't stopped. When I started my goal was just to clear some things out. Then it changed to get rid of everything I could not replace. I have managed to still keep more things than I need, but I have still made a dramatic decrease in clutter. And I imagine that I will let go of more things still as I got thru them a second time. I was also able to start some packing. I still have many things that a belong to my child off at college. So I knew I could pack those things up and know one would mind.  My housing searching had been on hold. There are some things that need to be decided. That I have no control over and until these decision are made I don't know if I will be staying in Austin or returning to Seattle.  Then I found out that I can only stay at my current house till mild of this month. I was hoping to have till the end of May but that turned out not to be the case. So I have had no choice but to look for new housing. ...

Work: Part One

In my last post I told you that a full time job had found me. I belong to a book club and we were having our get together. I was also buying a washer and dryer from some friends. I had planned on picking them up before book club. When I got to my friends to pick them up the where running a bit behind. By the time I had got the washer and dryer to my place I was running very late. I ended up being an hour an a half late for book club and I even called to make sure they were still there. I ended up sitting across from a women I think I meet before but hadn't talk too. This time we ended up talking and there were something that we had in common. At the end of the evening as we were all leaving she asked if any knew a library clerk looking for work. Well I raised my hand and everyone else pointed at me. We exchanged numbers and I heard from a few days late to interview. After waiting for the school district to caught up I got the call from HR. I was to start my full time job on the fir...

Training

I am once again in full training mode. I will be doing the See Jane Run Half-Marathon in Seattle on July 17th.  I would like to run/walk this race but because of leg issues I think it's going to be more like walk/jog. I will be doing the race with my sister, so it will be fun no matter the speed.(My sister walks as fast as me and she runs faster. So if anything I am going to be the slower one.) Right now I get my run* in after I drop off my youngest at school. So with only week and a half before school gets out for the summer,  I will have to find a new time. And with this being Texas the low temp not is below 70 now. Running earlier is the day works much better for me. I have already gotten to the point were I have to carry water with me and it well only get warmer.  I will most likely switch to a sunrise run time. I think that the sunrise has to be the coolest time of day when it is light out. I don't run in the dark. I street run it's just not safe, to many haz...
